Ichigan-san (Himurogatake Remote Worship Site)
Mount Himurogatake (also known as Mount Iwato) is shaped like a pyramid. It is considered a sacred mountain where a great deity is said to have descended, and it is a forbidden area where people are not allowed to tread.
It has long been believed that if you make one wish, it will come true, and it has been affectionately known as "Ichigan-san" (One Wish Shrine).
You can also make a wish using an ema (votive tablet).
Please receive an ema (votive tablet) at the reception area, write one wish on it, and hang it at the place of worship. The ema will be burned during the Great Purification Ceremony in June and December.
Incidentally, if you pray from the worship site on the summer solstice, the sun will set directly behind the peak of the mountain.
At this time, our company will hold the Summer Purification Ceremony.
Many people visit the shrine every year, and offerings such as gagaku (ancient Japanese court music) are made.
